_______________________________________________________

From start to finish Live Like Lions single from Shock Radar featuring Lee Diamond is an impressive single. The music is very passionate, melodic, and comes from a classic Alternative, Progressive Rock foundation. Note for note, there isnít really weak second on this entire piece. The strong suit of SR  is Diamonds' infectious voice and impressive musical signature - which you can't help but get addicted to.

IMD What is your full name?

LD Lee J Diamond.

IMD What do you want fans to take from your music?

LD Buy our records.

IMD Who are some of your top musical influences?

LD  Neil Young, Sonic Youth, Zappa, Bowie, Sabbath and The Monkees.

IMD MD LD What was the best concert you have ever been to?

LD The Power of the Riff festival at the Warsaw. I never actually made it out of the backstage to see any of the bands, but it was by far, the most fun. There were midgets.. very Spinal Tap. You had to be there. The Tears for Fears reunion is a close 2nd. Also various Sonic Youth shows have achieved ecstasy.

IMD Tell us a bit about your latest single ďLive Like Lions?Ē

"The whole recording process felt Lionesque, like making a record with Neil Young. I then took the song to multi-media artist Michael Zinn for a killer cover...."

LD  I recorded the song with Don Devore, trance-hard-core pioneer from the band- Ink & Dagger. I love that band, and heís a sick guitar player that utilizes the multiple amp/stereo effect, assigning different pedals to each amp. Huge sound. The song had to be a heavy one. The whole recording process felt Lionesque, like making a record with Neil Young. I then took the song to multi-media artist Michael Zinn for a killer cover.

IMD Whatís the best and worst things about being an Artist from New York?

LD New York has everything and nothing at the same time. Thatís the best and worst thing about it.

IMD How does this release differ from the others?

LD I envisioned it to be released on vinyl. We got the analog sound, similar to Steve Albini records. In the past, Iíve added 100 tracks and electronic loops. This is more live in the room sounding.

IMD Whatís the best thing about performing live?

LD Not knowing what to expect. Some shows lead you down a strange path. Shock Radar does entertain. Weíve had some hilariously off nights, but we will entertain nevertheless.

IMD Any touring scheduled to support? If so how long is the tour?

LD I think I have a show in Philadelphia coming up, just shows here and there. I would like to do a 12 string acoustic tour at libraries across the country. It would be different than playing a club at midnight. I think Iím going to do that next year.

IMD Whatís next for Shock Radar?

LD  Make a synth pop record with a Scottish accent. Like Bert Jansch mixed with New Order. Library Tour 2013.
